On November 19, 2021, news came from the Chongqing Science and Technology Awards Conference that Professor Yu Miao, director of the Magnetorheological Center at Chongqing University, as the first contributor, won the first prize in the 2020 Chongqing Science and Technology Progress Awards for the project "Key Technologies and Applications of Magnetic Sensitive Intelligent Materials for Vibration Reduction."

This project primarily addresses the long-standing core technical challenge of vibration in mechanical transportation equipment under complex environments, achieving breakthroughs in key core technologies such as the design and optimization of damping devices, the establishment of intelligent control strategies, and the research and development of magnetosensitive intelligent materials, thus meeting the damping needs of different application objects. This achievement significantly contributes to breaking the monopoly and blockade of developed Western countries in this high-tech field, enhancing China's independent innovation capabilities and international competitiveness in intelligent damping technology and products, and promoting the quality of major products and equipment, as well as ensuring national security.
At the same time, Professor Fu Jie from the Intelligent Structures and Control Laboratory, as the third contributor, and Teacher Qi Song, as the seventh contributor, jointly received this honor.
